Chapter 5: Dreams and Disagreements

Eliza pov:

As the morning sun painted the sky with hues of gold, our family gathered for breakfast, a cherished moment of togetherness. Amidst the laughter and chatter, the topic shifted to the upcoming mayun ceremony, a joyful occasion on the horizon.

In the midst of the familial warmth, my father broached the subject of our future endeavors, signaling the end of our high school journey. Aurora, with her flair for fashion, expressed her dream of becoming a designer. Her passion was palpable, and I couldn't help but admire her determination.

When my turn came, I revealed my fervent desire to pursue a career in racing and eventually establish my own bike company. However, instead of support, my father, his eyes blazed with fury, and his voice crackled with indignation. "You want to pursue your career in what?!" he thundered, his words dripping with scorn and disbelief. The intensity of his anger was palpable, casting a shadow over our conversation.

Girls don't do that, you should do something more like Aurora. As my father spoke, Aurora glanced at me, then turned her gaze towards him, seemingly about to interject. I quickly reached for her hand, silently urging her not to speak.

my father's disapproval loomed heavily over the table. His stern refusal pierced through the jovial atmosphere, leaving me crestfallen.

With a heavy heart, I excused myself from the table, seeking solace in my secret haven, hidden away since the resort's inception. There, amidst tears and solitude, my brother Yusuf and our gang found me, offering unwavering support and understanding.

As I gathered my courage to face the challenges ahead, I turned to Yusuf, placing a gentle hand on his arm. "Yusuf bhai, I appreciate your support more than words can express," I began, my voice filled with gratitude. "But I don't want you to go against Father, especially not during your wedding. This is your special occasion, a once-in-a-lifetime moment that should be cherished without any discord."

Yusuf bhai looked at me, understanding softening the edges of his determination. "I understand, little sister," he said, his eyes reflecting a mix of pride and concern. "Let's focus on celebrating this joyous occasion for now. We can discuss our plans and confront the Father together after the wedding."

Relief flooded through me as I nodded in agreement. "Thank you, Yusuf bhai," I said, a weight lifting off my shoulders. "Let's put aside our differences for now and make your wedding a truly memorable event."

With Yusuf bhai, Aurora, Armaan, and Aariz (our gang) by my side, I find solace in their comforting presence.

Armaan reassures me, offering sanctuary if my uncle's approval eludes me, promising not just a roof over my head but also support in kickstarting our venture.

Others echo his sentiment, questioning why they wouldn't lend a hand. Yusuf bhai interjects, defending his role as protector of his "baby sister," prompting Armaan to playfully protest, claiming sibling rights. Aurora intervenes, asserting her bond with me, sparking a playful argument.

Amidst the banter, Aariz, you know how much I love Eliza sis. More then Aurora.

Aariz steps in, pledging unwavering support and revealing his affection, causing a commotion. Aurora, catching wind of Aariz's confession, teases him, affirming her position as the elder sibling.

Aariz seeks refuge behind me as Aurora extends her protective arm. Amidst the chaos, my mother's arrival interrupts the playful exchange, greeted by amused laughter from Yusuf bhai and Armaan.
